What is Coconut Nira?
Coconut sap is a clear liquid that comes out of a coconut flower or from an unopened coconut shoot. Coconut sap is most widely used as raw material in the manufacture of brown sugar. Coconut sap and Nira Aren is called “saguer” this word is a term taken from the Minahasa language, which means the drink of the gods, which is almost considered sacred by the ancient Minahasa people

In a fresh state, coconut sap has a sweet taste, colorless and smells good. In addition to being a raw material for making sugar, coconut sap can also be used as a food ingredient, palm wine, vinegar and fresh drinks.
